Muy practico. En todo hogar deben tener uno, buen precio.
Works great, it screws!!
This cordless joins my collection of drills as the mainstay. I use it mostly for driving screws, from little ones to lag screws, in building stuff around the place. As a driver/drill, it replaces a DeWalt that took a crap recently (lost the low range gear). I just don't have time for tools that break, and unless it's a don't care tool for very light work, I'd rather spend the bucks for something that works. This Bosch cost $100 less than the DeWalt, it's lighter (due to the lighter litheon battery pack and less junk on the drill motor and packaging) and more powerful. I note that the clutch seems to be more accurate; occasionally, the clutch on the DeWalt would lock up and drive a screw far into the wood. This Bosch doesn't do that, it stays set where I want it, and breaks away when it should. Overall, well worth the money. It won't replace the corded Milwaukee (no battery drill can), and I'll still be using the two DeWalts I have, but this will be the main guy. High recommendation.
I love this tool, now I just wish I had 2 of these - one for pre-drilling and one for driving screws :) It is smooth in operation and has a "break" feature which prevents screws from damaging the material due to inertia. The torque control is really fine-tuned and does not seem to vary with battery discharge a lot. The tool feels good in my hand. It is not too heavy , I would say it is on the lighter side. It has a solid construction no flimsy parts like in other tools. This is the best drill I ever bought so far and I owned 4 before this one. Also Li-Ion is the way to go - keeps charge for many months so when you need the tool it's there as opposed to NiCd that loosed charge with time. I am guessing there are 5 Li-Ion cells in this battery each 3.6V.
The NiCd batteries on my 10 year old drill drill finally died and I decided to upgrade. I'm glad I did. Thexa0 Bosch 36618-02 18-Volt 1/2-Inch Compact-Tough Litheon Drill/Driver with 2 Slim Batteries xa0is a workhorse and I use it for absolutely everything around the house... from drilling holes to driving a snake. The battery life is phenomenal and it's compact and relatively lightweight. I have no issues at all with the grip and it's comfortable for use in a variety of positions. Of course the ergonomics can be somewhat personal so your mileage may vary. I really don't know what else to say except that I find that I enjoy using great tools and I look for excuses to use them. This is one of those great tools and now I look forward to every little project I undertake.
I love this! It's just the right size, and doesn't skimp on power. The color is perfect--it will not be "borrowed by my male family members. The only improvement that I can think of, is if it were to hold a charge longer. Although, its charge is adequate for most jobs.
For the price it works fine it's not as powerful as the newer lithium ion 12v or 18v drills. It has nicad batteries which do not hold a charge as well and have less current output so the power is not as good. But all-in-all for General household chores it works great
I love my pink drill! I needed a drill that I could use that would be lightweight but with power, and this fit the bill. I am very happy with this purchase and will highly recommend to my friends!
i seriously freaking love this drill. i have bought several over the last few years and they either pooped out after 10 min of use and needed a 30 min charge or had little to no torque. best buy for sure.
Just love the ease of use and all the drill bits and chargers. Case just makes it all so easy to store and not lose parts. Thanks for making this a wonderful item for the woman who likes to do her own thing. In this busy world we should be able to do things for ourselves. Most other drills are heavy and clumsy to use. This is awesome.
This impact driver will get the job done. It’s by Skil, so the quality is a given. It’s very solid and robust. There’s a lot of torque, and the “impact” ability for those tough jobs. It fit my hand nicely, very comfortable. Charged quickly. The bits “snap” into a collet, so if you have bits with the détente ring you’re good to go with a chuck key. Or you can mount in an accessory chuck for standard “old style” bits, too. The built-in light focused to the right point, and was very helpful. All in all a very impressive driver.
This replaces an old drill I’ve had for 10 years. Impressed by the torque and constant power, and the battery so far has lasted through a days work. Great drill for home projects.
Works great right out of the box! Easy to use and works very well! Highly recommend this especially for things around the house that you want to do yourself!
Well build, good price. However, difficult to insert into drill handle (must use force) and cannot remove from drill handle without prying out with a flat blade screwdriver. Used calipers to measure size of contact portion of battery that inserts into the drill handle and compared to three other batteries for my Bosch 3960 drill (all BAT030 batteries), the Creabest measured .1mm larger than the other three. Would have reordered but could not get any assurance of a QA check of their stock.
In the right hands, you can layout anything of your imagination on a ceiling, performing all measurements and layout safely from the ground. Then just send your helper up the ladder with a pencil and transfer the marks directly onto the ceiling. I'm an electrician and this helps me shoot lights straight and conduit in-line.
As a single mom, I would rather pay a little more and know I am getting a quality product that I will not have to replace. This fits the ticket. Time is precious to me and moving into our new home, I was frustrated at my "other brand" cordless drill that seemed to overheat and stop spinning when drilling a hole to hang a heavy picture. This drill comes in a canvas carrying case. I was sort of confused with the other reviews talking about the "all metal gear box." I thought that referred to the storage case because my "other brand" came in a hard plastic case. But after reading more, I realized my non-construction experience mistake. Now, I think the "all metal gear box" refers to the inside of the drill, if the mechanisms are all metal, it should last longer and you won't tear the gears out when using it. This might also explain the price tag. Here's some more home use things that I like: I like the canvas container. It makes the container lighter weight when moving it in and out of the closet, garage shelf, or wherever you store it. The canvas case is hard on the long flat sides, but this is not hard plastic or metal. I can flex it with my hand. The shorter (depth) part is made of strong canvas cloth (no hard support), so don't go dropping the bag off a building. LOL. Also, the interior doesn't have those plastic shape formed storage compartments. It only has two flaps, each about three inches long to separate the charger from the drill and other components. In essence, everything is sort of loose in the container, but I don't see this as a big flaw because I prefer the container's lightweight factor. It comes with two batteries that charge quickly, uses two speeds, and has an extra removable handle for heavy drilling. The drill itself is really not that light weight, maybe a speck lighter than my old drill. But the grip is supper comfortable for my female hands. Holding the drill steady is half the challenge when working high up on a wall. I haven't had to drill into our cement-like walls yet, but I look forward to using this. Recommended for others. One quality product will save you a lot of headache.
I liked very much, this product looks in good shape and the price is excellent!
Best tools ever
I have this as well as the milwaukee with higher torque (1800). I use the milwaukee when I'm driving tapcons or lags all day. The bosch is my everyday tool of choice for other work because of the ability of being able to use 1/4 hex shank or sockets directly. The light is impressive too. It's not the most powerful impact driver out there but it's a great tool for its flexibility. As for the one 1 star review for not including batteries, ignore it. It clearly says "bare" tool.
I'm an apprentice electrician and use this tool daily for my job. It has decent power and can deliver when it needs to. Best part about this driver are the lights which come in handy all the time. Very bright and stay on just long enough. It's nice you can turn them off too. Compared to a Milwaukee or Makita its not as powerful but still good enough to put in 4" screws and such. The biggest problem I have with this driver is the chuck. It's huge. It's unneeded. it's too large. I get the whole 1/2 bolt thing but I don't need that. I can use an adapter. and there are no other options for a bosch brushless driver so there you go. The chuck is so long some bit holders don't fit. Very annoying. And it's on the longer side which really matters when in tight spots. Overall it really is a good tool and I'm going to continue to use it because it's built tough and the batteries last forever.
It's crazy that I needed to buy a drill. I only use one ever so rarely and my husband has no less than 4 in the garage. But his are so nasty dirty (after poking around 30 minutes to see where he decided to leave it), I don't want it in my house! Rant against husband done (for now). I did use my nice new clean drill this weekend and was very pleasantly impressed. It seemed like it has more than enough power to do any of the household chores I might have. I don't think he's apt to drag this one off, so that's a major plus too. I think I'm feeling rather empowered! :-)
For my daughter
great
I love my pink drill and that it came already charged.
Easy to use handles well
This little guy exceeded my expectations. The price and the somewhat flimsy guide bring it down to four stars. I'm not including the L-Boxx as part of this review or I would be dropping this down to 3.5 stars. The box itself is fine, but the "exact fit" inserts kind of suck. I've started purchasing kaizan foam to put in these L-Boxxes. It's not real cheap, but less expensive and more firm than the pick and pluck junk. The cheapest way I have found for the foam is to buy two 2x4 sheets for every three boxes. One sheet of the 1 1/8 and a sheet of the 2 1/4. Use the thin for the base and the thick for the tool cutout. If you don't mind split pieces of foam, you could actually do 4 or 5 boxes with two sheets.
+ best chuck on a handheld i ever owned. no runout at all. easy to tighten and loosen. + plenty (but not infinite) of torque and speed + gear switch works well, does not act up, as on some other drills + very good bosch warranty program (does NOT apply to refurbs!) if you register + strong led - no power gauge - chuck will not accept small specialty drill bits (#54 and smaller) - bit holders should be called bit droppers. dont ever use them as they always drop at the worst moment - good power to size ratio but i find it a bit on the big / heavy side for drilling in confined and/or awkward positions overall i like this drill a lot. tight tolerances and high quality all the way. there are some comparisons out there with other brand 18v drills that have more torque and more battery power, but these tools are much heavier and more expensive as well. imo this drill has plenty of both, i would say the average homeowner diy/er may actually be better served by a somewhat smaller tool, but strangely bosches smaller drills (like the ps-31) are not near as well built as this one. i would buy this one at the usual $160 but right now these can be had brand new for 143-25= $118 from amazon. at this price it is an unbelievable value! get one while it lasts, it wont be long!
Did a 12'x12' deck support restructuring after wood rot failure. Original had 2 sets of (8) 2"x6"x6' beams supporting 12' trex. Removal was worse than new install as (1000) 3" wood screws were rusted in place. New redwood replaced all old boards with new 6" hangers requiring (4) 3" wood screws and (4) 1/4"x2" anglers each side of supports(24) 2"x6"x6'. Installing 1500+ screws was a cinch with the Bosch 1/2" cordless drill with slim batteries in 100+ degree heat. When one battery stopped working, slide in the next for about 30 minutes of work while recharging other battery, just enough time to get a cold drink. Whatever speed/torque used the drill kept going...been using it ever since. Speed chuck worked terrific, must have used it a few hundred times undoing chewed bits and replacing with nut drivers. Forward reverse switch worked every time. Trigger speed sensitive but mastery comes with familiarity. I banged the H3LL out of this thing and didn't even dent it. Did not fail to perform one time. Great Power Tool! THANK YOU BOSCH!!! D-I-Y project saved me about $2000!
Great piece at good price
SKIL 20V 1/2 INCH CORDLESS DRILL DRIVER My husband says -- This is a very versatile tool that will drive screws and drill any material. This is a great DIY tool that every home owner needs. This is not a professional grade tool but works so well! The 20 volt Lithium battery gives you about 25% more run time and charges in only one hour. The charger included is a nice full size bench type with indicator lights. The drill has a 1/2 inch key less chuck with 17 clutch adjustments for driving at the proper torque. The drill has two speed settings for different uses. The on board LED light is super nice to have when area lighting is not the best. The forward-reverse button is located just behind the trigger in a great spot. A belt clip is included when you need an extra hand to carry or hold the drill. There is a good rubber coated area where you hold the drill for good grip. The trigger is a pretty sensitive variable speed and green indicator lights come on showing the direction. You often need to check this before using in order to drive screws. The LED light stays on for ten seconds after the trigger is released to check your work. The screw to attach the belt clip was missing with my drill. The 20 volt battery is interchangeable with other Skil tools that I own. If you have the older Nicad batteries you will love lithium. The front of the battery has a fuel gauge button to push and lets you know how much charge is in the battery. The torque available here is 350 inch-pounds. This is a well designed tool. It has all the features you could want and it sells for a very good price. A great gift for yourself or someone you don't want borrowing your tools!
This drill came in the mail last week and I was really excited to see the positive reviews hold true for my experience with it! After testing it out, it seems like a really powerful product, which deserve a place in any tool box. Power 5/5 Until now, I’d used a corded drill that was probably made sometime around 1985. The power was minimal, and it often locked up when the going got tough. Well not this one! It’s incredibly strong, proving that all I really needed was a good drill to make my life of house repairs so much easier. I was even able to drill through this thick sheet of metal that I’d been trying to do for years! Product Design 5/5 Maybe more impressive than the power is the design if the product, which is incredibly easy to use. Until now, I’d been used to a different mechanism for attaching the drill bit, but the ratcheting chuck does a great job of securing the bit in there. It also has an LED light that illuminates wherever you’re drilling - an invaluable component when you’re drilling in hard to see places. It may be slightly bulky for some users, as it was for me when I first started using it, but it’s easy to get the hang of and definitely worth the switch. What’s more is that it’s a pretty great deal for the price. 10/10 would recommend!
Compared this product to an equivalent DeWalt driver. First factor is the basics. The power is a little lower than the DeWalt driver. However, the battery size is similar as well as the voltage. The feel of the Skil driver feels good in the hand. The grip will fit small hands better than larger one. The balance and control are good. It is a little longer than the DeWalt driver. The bit lock is a little loose. It doesn’t have the spring back. The bit moves in and out more than I would like. I prefer it to be well locked in or at least spring push out like the DeWalt. if you have a screw locked on the end and the bit slides, it could loosen the screw and creates some frustration. The unit has a belt clip that is a little small but functional. The battery charger is a little larger than I would like. The plastic base slides easily on the counter top. Should have rubber feet so it won’t move. The indicator lights are nice. Good details on the icons. Just feel there are a few things they could do better.
At first I was a bit concerned with how small this unit was. I've used Bosch and Dewalt drivers that were much bigger, not to mention my air guns. I shouldn't have been worried. It does anything a 1/4 driver could be expected to do (I have 1/2 drivers for the big stuff where monster torque may be needed). The compact size translates into a light weight and surprisingly agile feel. I never thought I'd appreciate the smaller size as much as I do. It's great! The battery is a modest one, and there are bigger options out there. The included charger took a bit longer than I'd expect to charge it at first, but it could have come with a bit less of a charge than I was used to. Either way it holds a charge well, and with a second battery, it can handle anything a a 1/4 driver is meant to handle. I used this bad boy on a fence project, and it got the job done nicely. I've used better, but those were $150+ units or a different class of driver. This is a fine piece of kit for the price, and the size fits anywhere.
When I first opened the box I was surprised how compact this driver is. I'm used to a chunky Black and Decker cordless drill, and this feels tiny in comparison but it has no shortage of power. The 20V battery has a lot of torque to handle most tasks you can throw at it. There are LEDs on the top of the driver that show you the direction you're driving, which is a really great feature that helps you to not second-guess yourself if you're in the right mode. And it has a built-in LED light in the base that automatically illuminates the area you're working on. The LED isn't super bright but it's enough to help. I really like the Lithium battery system. There are LEDs on the battery that show you the power level if you press a button. The battery charges fully in about an hour. It's small and light and yet packs a lot of power. Plus you can use the battery in other SKIL 20V products. This is a quality driver. I am impressed with it and would definitely buy more SKIL tooks in the future.
Pros: 1. The materials and build quality of this drill are very nice. 2. It is surprisingly quiet compared to some of my older 18V drills. 3. The hook that lets you hang it from a tool belt can be moved to either side. 4. The battery lasts a long time and charges quickly. 5. Was more powerful than my older 18V higher end battery drills (very impressed, especially for the price point). 6. Battery lets you know how much power it has left so you never wonder. Cons: 1. The screw for mounting the hook to hang it from a tool belt is an screw designed to NOT be unscrewed so getting it off required patience and a pair of needle nose pliers - I have never had a drill use that type of screw for that and it makes no sense at all. Other than the one above con I really like this drill and was impressed with the power and quality for the money.
I’ve several cordless drills in the house, and I’d say this is a good quality consumer level drill. I’ve a Dewalt 20V Max with an all metal chuck, and that is certainly heavier duty, but also just heavy. This Skil has more plastic, but is lighter. As for features, it has a hammer drill setting, so with the appropriate masonry bit I was able to easily drill holes in my home’s brick exterior and install a new door bell. Believe me, you don’t want to try that without a hammer drill. If you own a brick house, get a hammer drill. The mode selector is accessible from either side for lefties. Battery seems similar to all other recent lithium ion drills. Pistol grip has a firm feel. The lamp is at the base of the grip, which may make for better illumination; I’m not sure. All in all, a competitive drill.
This drill driver is perfect for most basic household work. I mainly do basic assembly and small home improvement projects. This is exactly what I needed. Before this I only had basic tools and one weak cordless screwdriver. This is a huge step up. I love that it is cordless. It doesn't take a long time to charge and it never dies during a project. The light is a great feature. I didn't expect to use it much, but I find that illuminating the area that you are working in makes everything go much faster. It isn't too heavy, so it's easy for me to use and I can maneuver it any way that I need. This is probably exactly what most people would find handy to have around the house.
It's all good, I won't hesitate to order more.
Works fine at better price than original
Working great..so far!
Works great, has 3 led lights, adjustable speed/torque. Both 1/4" hex for speed lock bits and 1/2" square for sockets for convenience. Does not seem to have the torque I wanted for heavy duty applications such as lug nuts. Tightened a bolt as far as it would go, then used my torque wrench to check it. It was less than 100 ft pounds all-in.
Exceeded my expectations. I was able to used this to remove lugnuts on my truck, torqued to over 100ft-lbs and remove lots of large rusty fasteners when replacing the shackles. Its size allowed me to get where my corded impact driver would not. The 2 ah batteries I have do get used up quickly for heavy duty work like this, but they also charge amazingly fast. I've yet to find a fastener this could not break loose (with the help of some pblaster and map gas that is). Very nice tool.
Simply the best.
Item has worked perfectly and came as described.
works great
Love that my husband won't take it, because it's pink!!
Works for basic decorating projects. Needs a little more power to compete with big brands.
A little bigger n bulkier than i expected but i love it other than that
****UPDATE**** I just received a replacement battery today. Updating my review to 5 stars. Great customer service from Pink Power. My 1 year warranty was up on March 15, 2018. I sent an email through Amazon asking to buy a new battery and they just sent me one. The drill does what It's supposed to do. For what I use it for, it's perfect and meets my needs. Will do business with this vendor again. I bought the drill in March 2017. Needed it for household stuff like hanging curtain rods and other minor things. I've had it for a year. Perfect for what I needed it for. Yesterday I was drilling holes to attach pull handles for my kitchen cabinets the battery got me through the lower drawers and cabinets. Went to finish today and the battery went dead after 1 cabinet. Luckily I had the 2nd battery on the charger from yesterday so I could just switch them out. Even though the charger showed a green light, the battery was dead. Now I have 2 dead batteries! Overall, the drill does what it's supposed to do. It is a little more bulky than the Black and Decker but the price for what came with it was actually a better deal when I bought it than the Black and Decker.
I will give these drills a 5-star review to begin with and try to follow up after they get their debut at my girls construction camp. I bought four for returning girls from the last camp ( a total of 28 girls this year!). We are installing a greenhouse kit/erector set. They'll get a lot of use. I opened and tried one of the drills out of the box and was impressed with everything about them. The light, level, magnet, two batteries and drill bit set are a great added bonus to having a cordless drill for the great price offered. I knew going in that the lithium battery set would be lighter but the price points for what we needed and what we'd get were a key between buying either model.
